Extra Heavy Duty Green Scrubbing Pad will provide an aggressive cleaning cut for the first step on extremely dirty floors or to prepare floors for color stain or sealer application. The pads are design to be more aggressive than the standard black pad.
These pads WILL NOT remove paint or glue from floor. It's primary use is to deep scrub a smooth concrete floor in preparation of the application of SealGreen products. Recommended for smooth concrete surfaces.
The most important factors in selecting a pad that will do the hard work for you are:
1. DENSITY – If the pad is too dense or not dense enough it will reduce the capability of the carbide to scrub the floor.
2. CARBIDES – If the pad does not have enough carbide per square inch it will wear out faster and reduce production time. Carbides also must be a certain hardness to be able to scrub the floor aggressively and remove the heavy dirt from the floor. Good quality carbides add to the cost of the pad but are less expensive in the long run because you will use fewer pads.
3. WEAVE – If the pad has a tight weave it will float over the wet floor reducing the scrubbing capability; if the weave is too loose the pad will wear out quickly. The weave helps the machine scrub the floor evenly.
There are an infinite number of pads available on the market. They range from poor quality (low price) to very high quality (high price) but most are not suitable for SealGreen applications. After testing many pads, we have selected and tested the best pad to work with our products. A perfect balance between Density plus Carbides and Weave for the specific application helps clean and prepare the floor better, reduces machine stress and decreases production time.
