Step by step on how to restore your stamped concrete.

However, due to life circumstances, many people sometimes prolong this maintenance and then worry that the stamped concrete has degraded beyond repair. We are happy to say that in many instances this is not the case. Because of the sheer number of instances that we have encountered and 18 years of experience restoring stamped concrete we have produced a step-by-step playbook for the Do-It-Yourself.

Every situation is unique and so requires slightly different steps, restoring stamped concrete breakdown to three options depending on the condition of the concrete.

  1. Sometimes it only needs to wash with SealGreen Oil Cleaner Degreaser, antiskid and sealed with SealGreen E15 Epoxy Sealer for Stamped Concrete.
  2. Depending on the condition of the old sealer and color. a wash, application of color, antiskid and then the E15 sealer.
  3. Worst case scenario it will need to strip the old sealer, old color. Know that you have a nice clean concrete it will need color, antiskid and sealer.

This is a typical schedule for restoring stamped concrete to the latest look. Every SealGreen product recommended include how to videos and written instructions.

Day - 1 Apply a Sealer stripper (follow manufacturer instructions) to remove all old sealers and old color stains. Do not worry strippers do not usually remove the integrated color in your concrete.

Day – 2 Wash the stripper off with a pressure washer and then do a final wash using SealGreen Oil Cleaner Degreaser.

Day – 3 Repair any cracks with SealGreen Concrete Patch Repair cement.

Day – 4 Broadcast the SealGreen Antiskid and then apply SealGreen Color Stain

Day – 5 Apply more color stain where needed or apply the first coat of SealGreen E15 Epoxy Sealer for Stamped Concrete.

Day – 6 Apply final second coat of SealGreen E15 Epoxy Sealer for Stamped Concrete. Allow one day to fully cure and your stamped concrete should look amazing.
