Girl Scouts locker and shower Areas – Safe Floor Wet or Dry
SealGreen was invited to solve a slippery floor when wet. Originally the locker room and the shower areas were coated with a sealer to protect the floor. Unfortunately, the sealer applied had a glossy finish and the girl scouts kept falling down because when the floor was wet it became very slippery in the shower areas and all other areas where the floor got wet.
Several floor vendors were invited to solve the problem, and the common answer was to remove the existing coating before it could be sealed with a non-slippery coating. Unfortunately, the customer did not have the funding for full removal of the old sealer and the application of a new coating.

The SealGreen Poly StepGuard with antiskid solution provides a safe floor for waking barefooted, non-slippery when wet or dry, polyurethane durability for daily use, and the and the antiskid does not interfere with cleaning procedures when using mops, brooms, or other cleaning processes. And it does not change the look of the floor.
The long-term maintenance based on daily traffic will be every 4 to 5 years. The maintenance will require washing (SealGreen Oil and Cleaner Degreaser recommended)and re-application of the coating. No removal will be necessary.
