Warehouse Floors

What is the best Sealer for a warehouse floor?

wood shop applicationA warehouse floor is typically the area where we expose the floor to forklifts, store inventory, fulfillment takes place, manufacturing, assembly of all types of items, and many other activities that required a durable concrete floor. Most of the warehouse floors have smooth concrete floors (also known as hard trowel floors). The warehouse floors are exposed to a variety of dirt, chemicals, animal urine, oil, paint, chalk, glue, hobby projects and tire marks. Because warehouse floors have many uses it is highly recommended to be sealed for ease of maintenance and durability.

When selecting a warehouse sealer you have to take into consideration the following:

  1. Will the sealer make the floor slippery when dry, wet of snow and ice?
  2. Will the sealer peel off when expose to heavy traffic by machinery or foot traffic?
  3. Will it peel off when dragging things over the floor?
  4. Will it be easy to repair if it gets scratched?
  5. Will it stand against Hot Tire effects?
  6. Will it stand exposure to paint, oil, rust, or other chemicals?
  7. Will it stand to daily pressure washing or other cleaners?
  8. Will it costly to implement and long-term maintenance?
  9. How much will it cost to restore and what is the floor preparation?

And this is why we created and recommend SealGreen Garage and Wearhouse Concrete Sealer

  1. Concrete by nature creates dusting. Sealing will stop the dusting (latency dust) without tracking into the home.
  2. It is easier to clean and wash a sealed floor than a non-seal floor because there are no open pores. (Pressure washing will not affect the sealer)
  3. It is easier to clean oil, paint, rust, glue, pet urine etc. Because the concrete does not absorb into the concrete.
  4. Sealed concrete has the maximum protection from salt exposure from the roads. Keep in mind that cars, trucks, loading equipment release all the frozen snow and salt on the garage floor during their parking time.
  5. The most durable concrete floors are sealed with penetrating sealers.
  6. Penetrating sealers are inside the concrete and will not scratch or wear out over time and heavy use including carts and forklifts.
  7. Penetrating sealers do not make the concrete slippery, change the look of the concrete, or make it glossy.
  8. Penetrating sealers do not peel or have Hot Tire problems.
  9. Penetrating sealers are the most cost-effective sealing solution, and they are easily applied.
  10. We recommend SealGreen Garage Floor Sealer with Salt Defense Technology.
  11. The sealer can be applied to any concrete floor if it has not been previously sealed. The age of the floor does not make a difference.
  12. The penetrating sealer reduces the spalling of the concrete, seal hairline cracks, and keeps your plain concrete floor looking nice and clean.
  13. We recommend washing the floor with SealGreen Driveway and Garage floor Cleaner before the sealer application.
